Huai'an Reports RMB 283.154 Billion in Regional GDP in this Year's First Half

According to the unified accounting results of regional GDP, Huai'an's GDP in the first half of the year was RMB 283.154 billion, up 4.8% year on year at constant prices. Specifically, the value added of the primary industry was RMB 14.333 billion, up 4.6%; that of the secondary industry was RMB 110.187 billion, up 3.6%; that of the tertiary industry was RMB 158.633 billion, up 5.7%.

Agricultural production saw steady growth. In the first half of the year, Huai'an's total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fisheries reached RMB 26.11 billion, up 4.4% year on year at comparable prices. The total output of summer grain was 1.8827 million tons, up 1.6%; the output of pork, beef, mutton, and poultry meat reached 209,300 tons, up 13.7%; the output of raw milk reached 54,300 tons, up 2.4%.

Industrial production maintained robust growth. In the first half of the year, the value added of the city's industrial enterprises above the designated size increased by 6.7% year on year. Specifically, the value added of manufacturing enterprises above the designated size grew by 7.4%. By industry category, 21 out of the 35 major industrial sectors recorded year-on-year growth in added value, with a growth coverage rate of 60%. The computer, communication, and other electronic equipment manufacturing sector grew by 29.0%, contributing 32.3% to the growth of industrial enterprises above the designated size.

The service industry improved in quality and performance. In the first half of the year, the value added of Huai'an's service industry increased by 5.7% year on year. The added value of transportation, warehousing and postal services, accommodation and catering, and wholesale and retail industries increased by 6.9%, 6.8%, and 5.7%, respectively. The operating revenue of service enterprises above the designated size increased by 29.7%. The city received 29.751 million domestic and international visits, up 12.7%. The total tourism revenue reached RMB 33.015 billion, up 12.2%. The total turnover of road transport grew by 3.6%, while that of waterway transport surged by 45.5%.
