Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of national green factories and green industrial parks in 2025. Huai'an City has made breakthroughs in green manufacturing and creation. Thirteen companies, including Peipu Polymer, have been listed as national green factories, and 4 parks, including Huai'an High-tech Industrial Development Zone, have been listed as national green industrial parks. The number of listed entities has reached a record high.
The newly added national green factories cover key industrial sectors, including new materials, high-end equipment, and electronic information. Among them, Peipu Polymer has achieved the use of harmless raw materials and clean production through the recycling of waste plastic resources, becoming a model for the industry's green transformation. Among the newly listed national green industrial parks, Huai'an High-tech Industrial Development Zone is supported by a green manufacturing system to promote coordinated energy conservation and carbon reduction in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain. The city has developed replicable experience in planning, energy use, resource recycling, etc.
In recent years, Huai'an City has focused on the direction of new industrialization, accelerating the construction of a green manufacturing system highlighting energy conservation, environmental protection, and safety. Focusing on traditional industries such as chemicals, equipment, and textiles, it has deeply implemented actions such as renewal of traditional industries, equipment renewal, and "technological transformation in thousands of enterprises" to guide enterprises to carry out green transformation. By establishing a three-level green benchmarking gradient cultivation mechanism at the national, provincial, and municipal levels, Huai'an has rolled up the green factory cultivation reserve pool, accurately guided enterprises to create benchmarks, and promoted green manufacturing from "single point breakthrough" to "cluster development."
