Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism released a list of recommended winter rural tourism routes, and three characteristic rural tourism routes in Huai'an made the list. The three routes are themed on the hot spring experience, the festive atmosphere in the wine town, and the forest and folk cultural experience, respectively. They integrate natural, historical, cultural, and folk resources in Huai'an, providing new winter rural tourism options for tourists to unwind and enjoy the Spring Festival atmosphere.

The first route is themed on the hot spring experience, with snow activities in the countryside as an additional highlight. This route connects the core rural tourism resources in Hongze District and Xuyi County. On the first day, tourists may visit Jiangba Ancient Town, Guishan Village (a national-level key rural tourism village), and the Laozi Mountain Hot Spring Tourism Resort. On the second day, tourists may depart from the Laozi Mountain Hot Spring Tourism Resort, head to the Diyi Mountain Ski Resort or the Tieshan Temple Ski Resort, and stay overnight at the Tianquan Lake Resort to unlock the dual experience of playing in the snow and unwinding in hot springs.

The second route is themed on the festive atmosphere in the wine town, characterized by fun folk activities. This route covers Huaiyin District and Lianshui County, centered on "going to the grand fair, experiencing folk customs, and exploring the wine town. It offers an immersive experience of the festive atmosphere of the countryside of Huai'an, as well as the local industrial tourism charm. On the first day, tourists may make a one-stop purchase of authentic Huaiyin specialties at the Matou Grand Fair in Matou Town, Huaiyin District. On the second day, tourists may experience the unique folk customs at the Jinjituo Ecological Scenic Area in Lianshui County and explore the unique charm of the integration of industrial tourism and wine culture at the King's Luck Scenic Area.

The third route is themed on the forest and folk cultural experience. This route takes natural and cultural experiences as its core, offering a journey that combines parent-child health activities and the folk customs of praying for blessings. On the first day, tourists may walk into the White Horse Lake Wetland Park to participate in parent-child activities, including interacting with cute pets interaction and camping for barbecues. In the evening, tourists may go to the Licheng Market in Jinhu County to experience the unique vibe of the Spring Festival fair. On the second day, tourists may go to the Yao Xiang Guo Cultural Tourism Zone to participate in folk-custom interaction in the "Emperor Yao's Blessings" Spring Festival Temple Fair, watch the "Young Emperor Yao" theme performance, and finally unwind in hot springs in the forests to fully enjoy the joy of natural wellness preservation experience.
