Huai'an Airport's Annual Passenger Throughput Exceeds 2 Million in 2025
time:2026-01-05

In 2025, Huai'an Airport's annual passenger throughput exceeded 2.008 million, up 9.5% year-on-year.

Since its opening in 2010, Huai'an Airport has made steady progress. As an important regional air gateway, Huai'an Airport adheres to the core strategy of "weaving a dense route network and improving accessibility" and actively builds an air corridor that connects the north and the south and links the east and the west.

In 2025, Huai'an Airport, together with 15 airlines, launched routes from Huai'an to 34 domestic cities, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Quanzhou. In particular, the deepened cooperation with China Southern Airlines and the introduction of A320 aircraft have successfully provided capacity for early departures on the Huai'an-Guangzhou route, greatly facilitating business and leisure travel between the two cities. A network of air routes covering major domestic economic zones and popular tourist destinations is increasingly becoming an "air engine" to boost high-quality regional development.

Passenger traffic saw a strong breakthrough, while freight traffic steadily increased. In 2025, Huai'an Airport innovatively adopted the "domestic continuation mixed-loading" model and launched the Huai'an-Osaka all-cargo flight route, helping enterprises to significantly reduce logistics costs. Relying on the "air-to-air intermodal transport" model, goods from Huai'an can reach Europe and North America within 4 days. This effectively meets the international logistics needs of key local industries. Currently, the daily cargo volume on this route is 12 tons, with a loading rate of 100%, which has driven a significant increase in the city's cross-border e-commerce exports. Huai'an Airport's cargo and mail throughput reached 9,628.1 tons in 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 68.8%.
