Huai'an Launches Special Enforcement Campaign on Intellectual Property Rights Protection
time:2025-11-17

Since the beginning of this year, Huai'an has initiated a special enforcement campaign on intellectual property rights protection, ensuring equal protection for all types of business entities in accordance with the law and effectively safeguarding consumers' legitimate rights and interests.

This campaign combines daily supervision with targeted enforcement, focusing on the following six key areas: (I) Regarding expanding domestic consumer demand, severely investigating and punishing infringement and counterfeiting of key products closely related to public daily life, such as electronics, home appliances, home furnishings, apparel and bags; (II) Regarding high-level opening up, rigorously addressing IPR infringements against foreign-invested enterprises; (III) Regarding promoting the growth of the private economy, severely cracking down on malicious trademark squatting targeting MSMEs, and infringement of store signage trademarks and the trademark rights of time-honored brands. (IV) Regarding rural revitalization, severely combating illegal acts such as unauthorized use of geographical indication product names, forgery or fraudulent use of geographical indication special signs; (V) Regarding promoting intellectual property transformation and utilization, severely sanctioning the filing of trademarks with potentially negative social impact, malicious trademark squatting and hoarding, fraudulent patent applications, and unqualified patent agency activities. (VI) Regarding supporting the construction of a modern industrial system, strengthening IPR enforcement in emerging industries.

This campaign leverages comprehensive market supervision enforcement advantages to build a robust protection framework. Key measures include strengthening internal coordination to unify enforcement efforts, intensifying cooperation with departments such as the Public Security Bureau and Customs to tackle multiple cross-regional and chain-like infringement cases successfully, and promoting the establishment of a cross-regional joint enforcement mechanism to effectively address enterprises’ difficulties in protecting their rights.
