In February this year, the Huai'an Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, together with the Municipal Postal Administration, jointly issued the Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Deep Integration and Development of Huai'an's Postal and Express Delivery Industry and the Manufacturing Industry. The document proposed that by 2030, the postal and express delivery industry should be deeply embedded in all links of the supply chain, including raw material supply and production support, and continuously expand its service coverage for advanced manufacturing clusters such as automobile manufacturing and biomedicine.
Transforming transportation and locational advantages into industrial development strengths is key to driving Huai'an's industrial economy to achieve leapfrog growth. The city insists on promoting industrial development as a crucial measure to implement the provincial party committee's directive to support Huai'an's "high-quality hub economy" development. Leveraging Huai'an's efficiently connected multi-modal transport network of highways, railways, waterways, airways, and pipelines, as well as its strategic location, the city focuses on developing integrated clusters of the "353" strategic emerging industries while actively cultivating hub-preferential and related industries. At the same time, Huai'an is accelerating the implementation of the High-Quality Development Plan for the Yanhe Industrial Belt, integrating inland port resources along the corridor and expanding industrial space. Efforts are concentrated on attracting waterway-preferential projects such as bulk materials and heavy equipment, deepening mechanisms for major project analysis and evaluation, and providing "five-stage" lifecycle services for projects. These measures fully support rapid project construction, completion, and performance, aiming to create a new growth pole for the city's industrial economic development.
With a series of major projects each valued at over RMB 10 billion—such as those of Trina Solar, Jushi Fiberglass, and Jietai New Energy—taking root in the city, hub traffic has been transformed into economic growth. In particular, the area along the Yanhe River has now become the city's key corridor for major industrial layouts, concentrating new momentum within Huai'an's industrial landscape.
