On the morning of November 5, the 2025 Huacan Cross-Strait Bonsai Art Exchange Event was kicked off in Huai'an.
The art of bonsai is a treasured gem of outstanding traditional Chinese culture, with deep roots of inheritance and development on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. With the theme "Connected Roots, Inclusive Love," this event aims to establish a high-level, in-depth platform for artistic exchange. At the exhibition site, more than 200 outstanding bonsai works were gathered, showcasing the pursuit of bonsai art by artists from both sides of the strait and highlighting their inheritance and development of Chinese bonsai culture. More than 100 bonsai artists from both sides of the strait engaged in enthusiastic exchanges on bonsai design, pruning techniques, and maintenance experiences, deeply integrating their creative wisdom through discussion and interaction.
In recent years, Huai'an City has consistently upheld the concept of "profound family bond between both sides of the Taiwan Strait," placing great emphasis on work related to Taiwan and continuously improving services. The Huai'an Municipal Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang has persisted in leveraging its own advantages and continuously deepened exchanges with people from various sectors in Taiwan. It has organized a series of cross-strait exchange activities, received multiple visiting delegations from Taiwan, and promoted in-depth exchanges between Huai'an and Taiwan. At the same time, it continues to pay close attention to the immediate needs of Taiwan compatriots and their families, actively provides services to support the employment, entrepreneurship, and daily life of Taiwan compatriots in Huai'an, organizes and implements the "Legal Support for Taiwan Enterprises—Safeguarding Development" special legal service initiative, promotes the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of Taiwan businesspeople, and supports better development of Taiwan enterprises in Huai'an.
