On October 16, the 2025 Huai'an Golden Autumn Economic and Trade Symposium for Investment Promotion kicked off, with representatives from more than 300 enterprises gathering at the bank of the canal. Shi Zhijun, Secretary of the CPC Huai'an Municipal Committee, attended the event and delivered a speech. Mayor Gu Kun presided over the event.

According to Shi Zhijun, the event, known as a "conference" in previous years, is called as a "symposium" this year to fully demonstrate the sincerity of Huai'an: the city's sincere hope to exchange opinions, carry out friendly face-to-face discussions with entrepreneurs, deepen communication, improve understanding, find a common ground between the visions of Huai'an and the enterprises, and jointly plan and promote high-quality development in the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" period; the city's sincere commitment to diligently providing services, meticulously organizing and carrying out sub-activities such as talks, matchmaking sessions, and project signing events, and promoting both sides to capture business opportunities, explore the market, deepen cooperation, and jointly sow new seeds of win-win cooperation; the city's sincere invitation to encourage more enterprises to join hands with the city and help building late Premier Zhou's hometown into a better place.

At the opening ceremony, a major project signing event was held.

Over the past few days, counties, districts, and parks across Huai'an have arranged 10 sub-activities with distinctive themes and pragmatic content according to the development needs of local industries, inviting representatives from famous domestic entrepreneurs in related industries to participate in the activities, setting up a comprehensive platform for the deep integration of industry and supply chains, and sharing the development opportunities to create a better future together.
