time:2025-09-24

From January to July, Huai'an's foreign trade import and export volume reached RMB 34.89 billion, a year-on-year increase of 17%, ranking first in the province; the city's actual utilization of foreign investment reached USD 241 million, a year-on-year growth of 9.6%, 21.6 percentage points higher than the provincial average.

First, Huai'an's foreign trade achieved growth against the current trend. Efforts were deepened in the "Huai'an Products to Go Global" initiative, encouraging participation of over 200 enterprises in 140 domestic and international trade shows, securing potential orders exceeding USD 50 million. This initiative has actively advanced the establishment of cross-border e-commerce industrial zones, with 450 cross-border e-commerce operators currently in Huai'an. The city has steadily integrated domestic and international trade, identifying 81 foreign trade firms suitable for expanding domestic markets. It has then arranged their participation in four key "Foreign Trade Premium Products China Tour" events, achieving on-site sales of over RMB 4.5 million, and intended deals exceeding RMB 23 million.

Second, the use of foreign capital has improved the quality and efficiency. Huai'an City has engaged in communication and coordination with the headquarters of foreign-invested enterprises. It has conducted overseas investment promotion activities in Singapore, Thailand, and other countries. From January to July, the city organized over 60 overseas investment promotion visits. Leveraging the potential of existing enterprises by implementing the "Knock-on-the-Door Action," it has managed to increase capital and expand shares. From January to July, the city's capital increase rate reached 57.6%. Besides, Huai'an has enhanced the "Yuejige" brand services for foreign-invested enterprises, supporting enterprises in applying for foreign exchange quotas totaling USD 156 million and saving nearly RMB 4 million in taxes.
