Since the beginning of this year, Huai'an City has continuously stimulated consumer vitality, achieving a stable start to the economy with a positive trend.

In the first quarter, Huai'an City effectively unleashed market potential through measures such as issuing consumption vouchers, new car purchase subsidies, and fuel subsidies. During the New Year and Spring Festival holiday, the city distributed RMB 1 million in consumption vouchers and launched RMB 11 million in new car subsidies in collaboration with local counties, driving consumption by RMB 800 million. Additionally, in collaboration with the Municipal People's Bank of China, the city offered promotions such as zero down payment and five years of interest-free financing, partnering with 120 automobile sales companies for promotional activities. Moreover, a spring consumer fair for automobiles and home goods was held, featuring 60 booths covering various categories including automobiles, home appliances, and food, along with the “Happy 666” service consumption series. The city also collaborated with the Women's Federation to launch a Women's Consumption Month, distributing shopping, cultural tourism, and food vouchers across multiple scenarios to further enrich consumer offerings.

Huai'an City took the lead in the province by initiating a trade-in program for automobiles, home appliances, home renovation, and electric bicycles, investing a total of RMB 220 million in fiscal funds from January to March, which drove consumption of approximately RMB 2 billion. Among these, automobile consumption performed exceptionally well, with the spring consumer fair generating RMB 1.2 billion in sales; the trade-in program for home appliances involved 441 stores and completed 131,000 transactions, driving consumption of RMB 510 million; the home renovation subsidy program launched at 606 merchants sold 104,000 items, driving consumption of RMB 160 million; and the electric bicycle trade-in program engaged 1,035 stores, completing 37,000 transactions and driving consumption of RMB 110 million. These measures not only promoted consumption upgrades but also provided tangible benefits to the citizens.
