time:2025-04-08

April 2 this year marks the 18th World Autism Awareness Day. In recent days, the Huai'an Disabled Persons' Federation has carried out various activities to show care and provide professional guidance for people with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder).

On the morning of April 2, Huai'an City held a publicity and education activity for the 2025 World Autism Awareness Day. The plaques of Huai'an Whole-process Care and Support Service Center for People with ASD and Huai'an Employment Training Center for People with ASD were unveiled on site. Huai'an Charity Federation donated RMB 500,000 to the project "Guarding the Starry Sky · Caring Children with ASD." Moreover, the "Haitang Xinghuo Public Welfare Matrix" was set up, and volunteers from the Huai'an Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League launched a public welfare initiative.

From April 1 to 2, the Municipal Disabled Persons' Federation, the Municipal Public Transport Company, and Huai'an SJID Group jointly carried out a themed activity of caring for children with ASD. All buses in the city were tied with blue ribbons symbolizing care, and on-board screens and electronic screens at bus stops played slogans and public welfare posters around the clock. During the event, the city's financial center building lit up with blue lights, symbolizing care.

Also, from April 1 to 2, the Municipal Government's disabled assistance space, "Silent Cafe," and Taohuawu Disabled Assistance Space, "Silent Milk Tea Shop," used customized takeaway bags, combining special services for the hearing-impaired with care for children with ASD to convey the brand concept of warmth and tolerance.

This year, the Municipal Government has included whole-process care and support action for people with ASD in its livelihood projects. The Municipal Disabled Persons' Federation and nine other departments have jointly issued the Implementation Plan for Whole-process Care and Support Action for People with ASD in Huai'an City (2025-2028), making every effort to build an entire life cycle care system featuring "screening and diagnosis—rehabilitation assistance—integrated education—employment foster care—social support" for people with ASD.
