From January to February 2025, the transportation and economic activity in Huai'an City remained generally stable. The railway freight volume saw a significant increase compared to the same period last year, while port throughput and container growth were stable.

First, the volume of railway transportation shown steady growth. From January to February, the railway passenger volume reached 2.722 million, and the passenger turnover hit 1.96 billion person-kilometers, both marking a year-on-year increase of 0.9%. Meanwhile, the railway freight volume totaled 478,000 tons, with a freight turnover of 340 million ton-kilometers, both up by 104.9% compared to the previous year.

Second, port transportation steadily developed. In January and February, the city's port throughput reached 13.184 million tons, reflecting a year-over-year increase of 14.6%. Additionally, 80,000 TEUs of containers were processed, marking a 14.9% increase compared to the previous year.

Third, civil aviation passenger and cargo transportation developed steadily.  From January to February, the city recorded an aviation passenger volume of 323,000, marking a year-on-year decrease of 0.7%. Meanwhile, the cargo and mail throughput reached 790 tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 8.2%.
