8 New Provincial-Level Inclusive Childcare Institutions Established in Huai'an City in 2024

In recent years, Huai'an City has continuously promoted the implementation of inclusive childcare projects to empower families in raising their children. In 2024, the city established 8 provincial-level inclusive childcare institutions and 15 municipal-level inclusive childcare institutions, adding 1,532 inclusive childcare spots, with the construction of embedded community childcare points achieving a breakthrough.

In 2024, Huai'an City focused on themes such as "Providing Nutrition for Young Children, Igniting Intelligence, Ensuring Safety, and Promoting Health", actively conducting nationwide scientific parenting guidance. Throughout the year, a total of 157 public welfare activities on scientific parenting were held, benefiting nearly 4,000 families. The city diligently implemented preferential tax policies for community childcare, with a cumulative tax reduction of RMB 3.1809 million granted to 57 community childcare taxpayers. In the Chang'an Community of the Changjianglu Sub-district in Huaiyin District, the city’s first embedded community inclusive childcare point was established, providing inclusive childcare services to local residents through a public-private partnership model, with discounts for families with multiple children receiving widespread acclaim.

In recent years, Huai'an City has deeply implemented the national and provincial directives aimed at promoting childcare services for children under 3 years old. For several consecutive years, "adding inclusive childcare institutions" has been included in the municipal government's livelihood projects. The city continues to build the "Excellent Nurturing, Reliable Care" childcare brand, targeting the daily childcare service needs of many families with infants and toddlers, truly realizing "reliable childcare that is convenient and accessible". As of now, there are a total of 347 childcare service institutions in the city, including 69 provincial and municipal inclusive childcare institutions; the total number of spots is 18,100, with a ratio of 4.1 spots per thousand people.
