As a new form of foreign trade development, cross-border e-commerce shows the advantages of fast development speed, great market potential and strong driving effect, becoming a "new engine" for high-quality development of foreign trade in Huai'an Comprehensive Bonded Zone. According to data, in the first three quarters of this year, Huai'an Comprehensive Bonded Zone completed RMB 360 million of cross-border e-commerce import and export.

Since the beginning of this year, Huai'an Comprehensive Bonded Zone has implemented the instructions and requirements of the CPC Huai'an Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government to speed up the development of cross-border e-commerce. It has built two cross-border e-commerce industrial parks, namely Shidanli International Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park and Shengshi Longxiang Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park, a cross-border e-commerce display and sales center and a cross-border e-commerce college, renovated over 30,000 square meters of bonded warehouses for cross-border commodities, and is currently preparing to build a 200-square-meter temporary storage warehouse for imported frozen food.

By organizing foreign trade enterprises and logistics service enterprises to sign long-term agreements and contracts, Huai'an Comprehensive Bonded Zone has significantly reduced the average cost of customs declaration for goods. At the same time, with the assistance of Huai'an Customs, this zone has opened up a zero-cost path for enterprises to declare by themselves, automatically lift the bar at the gate and enter the zone through the non-customs declaration goods channel, which greatly accelerates the development pace of dual circulation of foreign trade in Huai'an Comprehensive Bonded Zone.

At present, Huai'an Comprehensive Bonded Zone has promoted in-depth cooperation between Shengshi Longxiang and Huai'an SJID, built the cross-border commodity display and sales center in commercial complexes such as Sunac, and created a display and sales experience place integrating offline experience of cross-border e-commerce, online procurement of bonded commodities and direct purchase of duty-paid goods offline, thus realizing the integrated development of "import + new retail" of cross-border e-commerce.
