The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, with participation from over 550 senior executives representing 130 companies from Huai'an City. Notably, 41 of these companies expressed their intent to purchase goods and services totaling 136 million, setting a record high for the city.
For seven consecutive years, Huai'an has participated in CIIE, utilizing this platform to promote key project collaborations, enhance the importation of quality goods and services, and support both consumption and industrial upgrades. This year, Huai'an intensified efforts to procure high-quality products and advanced equipment while seeking to adopt leading-edge experiences and technologies. The Huai'an trading delegation organized over 1,000 professional visitors, with registrations for both organizations and professional visitors surpassing those of previous years.
Throughout the expo, Huai'an's investment promotion team conducted a series of focused engagement activities, visiting influential companies including Wilmar International from Singapore, a leading global new energy firm, a prominent medical testing enterprise, and the Shanghai office of Sato Pharmaceutical. These visits fostered connections and deepened collaborative efforts. The city's Commerce Bureau spearheaded the “Hundred-Person Investment Promotion Team at CIIE” initiative, mobilizing various sectors to establish dedicated teams for investment attraction. This resulted in a robust delegation of over 300 members visiting exhibiting companies to explore cooperative opportunities, successfully generating a number of intended projects.
CIIE serves as a "dual-stage" platform, transforming companies from mere exhibitors to active investors. Annually, prior to the expo, Huai'an organizes focused investment promotion activities in Shanghai, connecting with participating companies and harnessing the spillover effects of the event.
