On October 22, Huai'an hosted the Sixth Yangtze River Delta Conference on Integrated Development for Disability Affairs. Experts and scholars in nursing services from three provinces and one municipality, as well as people in charge of disability affairs from municipal disabled persons' federations, gathered here to discuss integrated development strategies for people with disabilities.
For a long time, the CPC Huai'an Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government have attached great importance to improving services for people with disabilities, vigorously promoted the culture of love and care and the integrated development of old-age care and disability assistance. Huai'an has included solving the urgent problems and worries of the disabled and also meeting their expectations in its key livelihood projects. It has built a diversified investment system, continuously improved the protection of the rights and interests of the disabled, and greatly promoted the high-quality development of disability services in Huai'an. The "support for vulnerable groups" level index ranks among the top in the province. The sense of fulfillment, happiness, and security of people with disability has been significantly enhanced. Viewing this conference as a fresh starting point, Huai'an reaffirms its commitment to a people-centered development philosophy. It aims to adopt the best experience and successful practices from peer cities to refine its protection system for the rights and interests of people with disabilities and establish a long-term mechanism of care and assistance. By fostering a supportive environment for people with disabilities around the city, Huai'an endeavors to make their life happier and better.
At the conference, the municipal disabled persons' federations of three provinces and one municipality signed a new round of Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on High-Quality Integrated Development in Disability Services across the Yangtze River Delta, and experts conduct further work exchanges and deliver keynote addresses.
