On the morning of September 12, the 18th Taiwan Entrepreneurs Forum commenced in Huai'an. With the theme "Advancing New Quality Productive Forces and Building a Cluster of Taiwan-Invested Enterprises," this year’s forum aims to foster intellectual dialogue to capture economic trends and opportunities in developing new quality productive forces. It seeks to help Taiwan enterprises become part of the new development paradigm and achieve high-quality growth, thereby promoting cross-strait economic integration. The forum featured an array of activities, including the opening ceremony, main forum, field visits, and sub-forums, with about 180 attendees from political, business, and academic sectors across both sides of the strait.
The forum saw the signing of 31 projects, covering next-generation information technology, new energy, automotive and parts manufacturing, advanced fiber materials, smart equipment production, and other key emerging industries. In the afternoon, the attendees visited the "Innovation Core" exhibition hall and several local universities to learn about the city's socio-economic progress and technological innovation. Following this, three sub-forums were concurrently held, consisting of seminars and networking sessions for the automotive parts, energy equipment manufacturing, and electronics and information industries.
Established in 2006, the forum has now been held for 18 sessions, serving as a key platform for cross-strait collaboration and exchanges. As Huai'an embarks on a new chapter, it will better utilize the platform and remain committed to creating favorable conditions for Taiwan businesses. Therefore, it can attract more investment from Taiwan and build a shared future with Taiwan.
