time:2024-08-12

At about 10:00 a.m. on August 8, a cargo ship carrying Maersk containers departed slowly from the Phase II Wharf of Huai'an Port, marking the official launch of Maersk Shipping's Cargo Charges Correction Advice (CCA) business at Huai'an Port.

As the world-renowned container shipping company with the largest scale and strongest comprehensive capacity, Maersk owns and operates over 700 container ships and more than 1.5 million containers for routes all over the world, providing varying transportation and logistics services. Huai'an Port is the first port where Maersk Shipping Co., Ltd. has launched CCA business within the inland rivers of China, marking that Huai'an Port is truly incorporated into the global network system of Maersk Shipping. Consequently, the goods of Huai'an City and its surrounding foreign trade enterprises can be declared and shipped from Huai'an Port with Maersk containers, and then transported to "all places in the world" through Maersk's global routes, realizing a seamless connection between Huai'an Port and first-tier ports at home and abroad. This strategic layout has laid a solid foundation for building an efficient logistics network from Huai'an to the Yangtze River Delta and even the whole world, strongly promoting the formation and development of Huai'an's great transportation, rapid logistics, and efficient customs clearance system.

Meanwhile, by promoting closer cooperation with Maersk Shipping Co., Ltd., Huai'an Port has realized the synergic connection between inland river branches and ocean trunk lines. Moreover, the collaboration between Huai'an and Maersk can give full play to the inherent advantages of low energy consumption, small pollution, and huge capacity of river-sea combined transportation to continuously expand its business scope and increase service capabilities, thus opening a new chapter with the eco-friendly and high-quality development of inland river shipping.
