On July 29, the zero-carbon green power high-precision electronics manufacturing project, with a total investment of USD 1 billion, started in Huai'an District, Huai'an City. Shi Zhijun, Secretary of the CPC Huai'an Municipal Committee, attended and announced the commencement of the project. The event was also attended by Gu Kun, Mayor of Huai'an, municipal leaders such as Li Sen, Lin Xiaoming, and Zhang Chonglin, as well as investor representatives.
The zero-carbon green power high-precision electronics manufacturing project is located in the Huai'an-Kunshan Taiwan Funded Cooperative Industrial Park of Huai'an Economic Development Zone, with a total investment of USD 1 billion, a total land area of about 350 mu, and a total construction area of about 350,000 square meters. It mainly produces high-end electronics, energy storage electronics, energy storage cabinets, electronic chip packaging and testing products, as well as builds intelligent green power control centers, energy storage and transformation control centers, etc.
After the project is completed and put into operation, the annual capacity will be about 350 million pieces of semiconductor chip products, about 15 million sets of precision electronic products and portable/household energy storage products for lamps (vehicle lights), and 5GW industrial and commercial energy storage products. It will create around 1,000 jobs. All these will provide a strong momentum to boost Huai'an District's electronic information industry to move towards the high end.
