Recently, Shi Zhijun, Secretary of the CPC Huai'an Municipal Committee, met with a political and business mission from Japan led by Takashi Shinohara, a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet of Japan. The secretary of Huai'an expressed his gratitude to the mission for their concern about the development of Huai'an and hoped that the mission would introduce more Japanese enterprises to visit Huai'an for exchanges, investment, and business promotion.

After briefly introducing the conditions of Huai'an, Shi Zhijun gave a detailed introduction to its development advantages in five aspects: "strategic opportunities, transportation hubs, industrial development, ecological livability, and business environment". He said that China and Japan are neighboring countries, and Huai'an also has a good exchange relationship and cooperation foundation with Japan. For instance, many well-known Japanese enterprises have been running well in Huai'an. Further, in recent years, Huai'an has successively held activities to promote cooperation with Japanese enterprises in food, automobiles, machinery, electronics, and other fields. Therefore, many Japanese enterprises have settled in Huai'an. He hoped that the mission would take this visit as an opportunity to pay more attention to Huai'an, learn more about the city, and share opportunities with us for a win-win future.

Takashi Shinohara said Huai'an is a famous city with profound historical cultures, abundant products, and beautiful scenery. All these have left a deep and good impression on him during his first visit to Huai'an. He also said that Huai'an has established friendships with nine cities in Japan, including Kashiwazaki City, Kibichuo Town, Maebashi City, Gojo City, and Anjo City. They have cooperated in many aspects and cemented friendships in various fields. Moreover, he hoped to take this opportunity to visit, understand, and be familiar with Huai'an to consolidate the collaborative foundation with Huai'an, and deepen exchanges and docking, thus carrying out pragmatic cooperation in a wider range and at a deeper level and promoting bilateral exchanges to a new level.
