It will usher in the highest passenger flow since its opening in 2019.

According to the staff of Huai'an East High Speed Railway Station, on the first day of the Spring Festival travel rush, the passenger flow at the station was relatively stable, and 15,000 passenger trips were expected to be achieved. The peak of passenger flow is expected to occur on February 7-9 and February 15-18, with an average daily passenger trip of about 29,000. On February 9 (the Chinese New Year's Eve) and February 17 (the eighth day of the first lunar month), the station will see more than 32,000 passenger trips. In response to the strong travel demand of passengers during the Spring Festival travel rush, Huai'an East High Speed Railway Station will add 77 temporary passenger trains. On the first day of the Spring Festival travel rush, 170 trains are planned to be operated, marking an increase of nearly 20 compared with non-holidays. Many colleges and universities have been on holiday before the Spring Festival travel rush, and thus the passenger flow during this period will mainly be migrant workers and passengers for visiting relatives and travelling. The destinations are mainly places in Suzhou, Wuxi, Shanghai, Henan, Hubei, Sichuan and Chongqing and other places.

In order to ensure the smooth travel of passengers, Huai'an East High Speed Railway Station has taken targeted measures in advance. Volunteers have been organized to provide guidance and consulting services for passengers at station entrances, elevator entrances, waiting halls, platforms and other places. Ticket windows and security check channels will be added in due time to facilitate passengers' quick ticket purchase and boarding. Power sockets will be installed at the 12306 service desk to facilitate passengers' charging. SF Express lockers will be installed at the security checkpoints, and thus items that cannot be taken on board can be sent by express delivery.
