The groundbreaking ceremony for Trina Solar’s monocrystalline silicon wafer project was held on August 16th. The project is expected to produce 50 GW of monocrystalline silicon wafers annually. Construction began just 27 days after the project was signed, once again demonstrating the “Huai’an Speed”.
Since settling in the Huai'an Economic and Technological Development Zone last year, Trina Solar Huai'an has invested a cumulative total of 20 billion yuan in the base. Once the project is fully completed and operational, it is expected to generate an annual output value of approximately 80 billion yuan and contribute over 1.5 billion yuan in taxes. This will make it Trina Solar's largest integrated manufacturing base for silicon wafer battery modules.
