As a symbol of agricultural modernization, the dairy industry is a strategic industry for the coordinated development of the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries. High-quality milk source bases can guarantee the prosperity of the dairy industry. Thus, the Huai'an government attaches great importance to the construction of the bases. It has introduced three major dairy cattle projects, added 1200 cows, and plans to start the 20000-cattle projects. The Hongze Weigang Dairy Industrial Park, with an annual output of 35000 tons of fresh milk, and Jinhu Jiahui Animal Husbandry Breeding Base, with an annual output of 30000 tons of fresh milk, have been put into production. And the Weigang Dairy industry integration project, with a total investment of 3.27 billion yuan, is under rapid construction, and the breeding farm project with 4000 cows will start soon.

There are 6000 cows in Huai'an, and the proportion of large-scale dairy farming is 99%. It is expected that 6000 cows will be added by the end of this year. Dairy consumption will be guaranteed, with dairy farming steadily expanding.
