The statistics show that the operating revenue of high-tech enterprises in Huai'an exceeded 100 billion yuan for the first time, reaching a record high. The total industrial output value of high-tech enterprises in 2021 was 101.397 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 26.5%. The operating revenue was 102.393 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.4%, of which the main business revenue was 99.672 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.4%.

Enterprises' innovation investment was on the increase. In 2021, the total R & D investment of high-tech enterprises was 4.753 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.9%, of which 4.71 billion yuan was raised by enterprises, a year-on-year increase of 23.9%. The number of employees at the end of the period was 97422, with a year-on-year increase of 2.3%, including 12081 R & D personnel, a year-on-year increase of 9.2%.

The enterprises' intellectual property rights increased rapidly. In 2021, the high-tech enterprises applied for 3879 patents, including 831 invention patents. A total of 3129 patents were authorized, including 264 invention patents. The enterprises have 14124 valid patents, a year-on-year increase of 19%.
