From January to August, the total output value of industries above designated size in Huai'an increased by 34.6% year on year, with an average growth of 15.0% in the past two years. Industrial power consumption reached 9.927 billion kWh, an increase of 33.1%.

Among the 34 industrial categories in Huai'an, 32 industries' total industrial output value witnessed positive growth, with a growth rate of 94.2%. The total output value of three leading industries of green food, new equipment manufacturing, and new-generation information technology accounted for 59.2% of the total output value of industries above designated size, increasing by 20.8%, 39.1%, and 49.6% respectively. The increase of the three industries accounts for 58.4% of the total growth of the industries above designated size in Huai'an.
