From January to August, Huai'an Accumulated Expenditure of Civil Affairs Increased by 8.26% Year-on-year

This year, Huai'an has actively raised various kinds of livelihood funds, in order to effectively protect the basic life of people in difficulties, accelerate the development of elderly care services, and continuously solve the special living and long-term care difficulties of those with disability.

From January to August 2021, the accumulated expenditure of civil affairs in the city was 999 million yuan, an increase of 8.26% year-on-year. To be specific, 414 million was spent on children in distress and left behind, elderly services and welfare for the disabled, up 6.51% compared with the same period of last year; 492 million yuan was utilized on low income security, special hardship assistance, temporary assistance and assistance for vagrants and beggars, a growth of 4.85%, which effectively guaranteed the basic livelihood of the needy.
