Huai'an Civil Affairs Bureau has been inspecting production safety and COVID-19 prevention and control of all civil affairs institutions in Huai'an since the beginning of this year in line with the production safety arrangement and pandemic prevention at the municipal, provincial and national level.

The bureau has inspected more than 900 civil affairs institutions over 2500 times involving elderly care services, child welfare, mental health welfare, rescue management, funeral services, marriage registration and welfare lottery sales by the end of August. More than 1500 persons were involved in the inspection, finding out 359 potential hazards of firefighting, food safety and housing construction, 356 of which have been rectified, with a rectification rate of 99%. The inspection effectively guaranteed the life and property safety of the citizens of Huai'an.
