Huai'an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 1978. It is a modern Grade A tertiary general hospital of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), integrating medical treatment, education, research, preventive health care, and first aid. The hospital is characterized by its strong focus on TCM, complete functions of Western medicine, and obvious advantages in the integration of TCM and Western medicine. The hospital inherits and carries forward the characteristics of TCM, with a strong emphasis on the inheritance and research of the Shanyang School of Medicine, as well as the inheritance of the academic thoughts and clinical experience of renowned TCM practitioners. It carries forward the academic experience of many National TCM Masters, such as Cheng Shennong, Zou Yanqin, and Xia Guicheng, and deepens the construction of advantageous platforms for TCM research and innovation.
