Huai'an Second People's Hospital, also known as The Affiliated Huai'an Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University, was founded in 1892 (the 18th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty). After more than a century of development, it has become a national public Grade A tertiary general hospital integrating medical treatment, education, and research. The hospital has two campuses located on Huaihai South Road and Xiamen Road, covering an area of about 100,000 square meters. It has an authorized bed capacity of 1,500 and records about 850,000 outpatient and emergency visits, 65,000 inpatient admissions, and 30,000 surgical operations annually.
