It is a traditional snack of Huai'an. Wenlou, built in 1828 and located in the ancient town of Hexia on the east side of the Grand Canal, was always the gathering place for scholars. The fillings of Wenlou Soup Dumplings are entirely made of soup. The wrapper of the dumpling seems transparent while the fillings are mixed of 20 materials, like crab powder, hen soup, diced meat, side pork, shrimps.
