The Jinhu County Featured Instrumentation Industrial Base in Huai’an city of Jiangsu province was approved as a featured industrial base for China’s Torch Program on Oct 30 by the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center under the Ministry of Science and Technology of China.

The program aims to promote China’s high-tech industries. To date, Huai’an has boasted five national-level featured industrial bases, ranking second place in number among cities in north Jiangsu.

Located primarily at Jiangsu Jinhu Economic Development Zone and Daxing Industrial Park in Jinhu county, Huai’an city, the base now owns 439 manufacturing enterprises. In 2016, the instrumentation industry in the county achieved a sales income of more than 3 billion yuan (441 million US dollars), including a total export value of 110 million US dollars, and realized a pretax profit of over 200 million yuan (29 million US dollars).
