The Qingjiangpu District in Huai’an city, Jiangsu province, held a ceremony on Oct 9 for contract signature and construction commencement of 45 major projects in the district. Among the 45 projects with the total investment of 60.48 billion yuan (8.89 billion US dollars), 27 ones with a contracted value of over 100 million yuan each cover the contract investment of 46.63 billion yuan, and 18 ones with the 100-million-yuan-plus investment each have started construction with the planned investment of 13.85 billion yuan.

These projects not only cover such urban industrial projects as industrial park for new-energy vehicle spare and auxiliary parts and industrial park for new-type intelligent manufacturing, but also include functional projects for cultural and tourism concentrating areas and new port-neighboring cities. In addition, a batch of modern agricultural complex projects like characteristic towns and Huaixiang edible fungi cultivation will also be implemented in the district.
