Huai’an municipal government signed strategic cooperation agreements with telecommunication company Huawei and tech giant Tencent on Apr. 11.

Huai’an will cooperate with the two firms on nine areas such as industrial development, urban construction, social governance and improvements of people’s livelihoods.

The two firms will use their expertise to assist Huai’an in the development of smart city, big data platform construction, as well as data operation and management.

Huai’an will establish long-term interactive exchanges and promotion mechanisms with the two companies in information planning, industrial promotion and talent cultivation for boosting its internet industry development, promoting its economic transformation and upgrading its information-based management and services.
