Huai’an of Jiangsu province has attracted a total of 19 new foreign investment projects with the contracted foreign investment value of 930 million US dollars and the received foreign investment value of 116 million US dollars from January to February in 2017, showing a stable trend, according to Jiangsu Media on Mar 21.

The received foreign investments in Huaiyin, Huai’an and Hongze districts of Huai’an city were 30.80 million US dollars, 29.84 million US dollars and 21.03 million US dollars respectively, accounting for their annual targets of 25.7 percent, 25 percent and 18 percent accordingly. There were 10 new foreign investment projects with the total investment value of over 30 million US dollars each in that period, an increase of 5 projects from the same period of last year, among which there were two projects with the total investment of over 100 million US dollars each.

Huai’an witnessed a year-on-year increase of 435 percent in its contracted foreign investment from January to February 2017, showing a fast growth rate. The total contracted foreign investment value of new foreign investment projects with the total investment of over 30 million US dollars each reached 890 million US dollars, accounting for 95.7 percent of the total contracted foreign investment in Huai’an in that period.
