From January to September, Huai'an approved (recorded) 4,151 enterprise investment projects, marking a 31.86% year-on-year increase. The total investment for these projects reached RMB 860.036 billion, representing a 28.97% rise yearly.

From the district aspect, the number and total investment of approved (recorded) investment projects in Qingjiangpu District, Huaiyin District, Huai'an District, Hongze District, Huai'an Economic and Technological Development Zone, Industrial Park, Xuyi County, and Jinhu County increased year on year. Huaiyin District has 738 approved (recorded) enterprise investment projects, the largest among them, with a year-on-year increase of 34.43%, accounting for 17.78% of the city's total. Huai'an District has the highest investment amount of RMB 160.551 billion, with a year-on-year increase of 61.82%, accounting for 18.67% of the city's total.

From the industry aspect, the city saw 310 new projects in the primary industry, representing a year-on-year increase of 12.73%. The total investment reached approximately RMB 63.935 billion, up 31.41% year-on-year, accounting for 7% of the city's overall investment. In the secondary industry, there were 2,762 new projects, reflecting a year-over-year growth of 35.53%. The total investment amounted to around RMB 592.547 billion, with a 48.71% year-on-year increase, making up 69% of the city's total investment. The tertiary industry observed the inception of 1,079 projects, up 29.22% year-over-year. The total investment was about RMB 203.554 billion, down 7.36% year-on-year, making up 24% of the city’s aggregate investment.
