From January to June, 2,589 investment projects by enterprises were approved (recorded) in Huai'an, with a year-on-year increase of 34.28%. The total investment amounted to RMB 601.943 billion, a year-on-year growth of 42.2%.

From the aspect of district, the number and total investment of approved (recorded) investment projects in Qingjiangpu District, Huaiyin District, Huai'an District, Hongze District, Huai'an Economic and Technological Development Zone, Industrial Park, Xuyi County, and Jinhu County increased year on year. Huaiyin District has 487 approved (recorded) enterprise investment projects, the largest among them, with a year-on-year increase of 41.16%, accounting for 18.81% of the city's total. Huai'an District has the highest investment amount of RMB 123.149 billion, with a year-on-year increase of 103.8%, accounting for 20.46% of the city's total.

From the aspect of industry, Huai'an saw 197 new projects in the primary industry, representing a year-on-year increase of 37.76%. The total investment was approximately RMB 38.637 billion, marking a 97.02% surge year on year and constituting 6% of the city's overall investment. In the secondary industry, there were 1,673 new projects, reflecting a year-over-year growth of 38.72%. The total investment reached around RMB 402.633 billion, a 68.81% increase year on year and accounting for 67% of the city's total investment. The tertiary industry observed the inception of 719 projects, showing a year-on-year growth of 24.18%. The total investment increased by about RMB 160.673 billion, soaring by 1.33% year on year and making up 27% of the city’s aggregate investment.
