Huai'an Economic and Technological Development Zone is located in the eastern part of Huai'an City, with 4 sub-districts and 2 offices under its jurisdiction and an actual management area of 128 square kilometers. According to the results of the seventh census, the registered population and permanent population in the jurisdiction area are 203,100 and 293,100 respectively. It has 4 national platforms, namely the National Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the National Overseas Students Entrepreneurship Park, the National University Science and Technology Park and the National Software Enterprise Incubator. It is a well-known Taiwan-funded highland to the north of the Yangtze River in Jiangsu Province, one of the first batch of "Green Ecological Parks" in China, the National Eco-industrial Demonstration Park, the National Circular Transformation Demonstration Pilot Park, and the National Green Industrial Park.
