An evaluation activity for “Ten renowned restaurants of classic Huaiyang Dishes” and “Ten favorite Huai’an snacks” was carried out after July 21st, Huai’an citizens and restaurants attended the evaluation through letters, e-mails, and polls. According to recommendation of the masses, on-the-spot surveys, citizens polls and comprehensive auditing by experts, ten restaurants and ten snacks have been elected:

Huai’an Yingbin Hotel, Jiangsu Huai’an Hotel, Huai Yang Fu Restaurant (Jin Die Yuan Hotel), Huai’an You Lan Du Hotel, Huai’an Meiyuan Hotel, Chuzhou Hotel Food Center, Egret Lake Country Villa, Huaigong Pengteng Hotel, Huaiyin Hotel and Huai’an Zhuqiao Soft-shelled Turtle Restaurant.

1. Noodles Topped with Vegetables
Typical stores: Qixian Noodles Store (Weisheng Rd., Huaiyin District); Linjia Noodles Store (Chengde Rd., Qinghe District); Qigui Noodles Store (Shanghai Rd., Qinghe District); Tianlong Noodles Store (Chengde Rd., Qinghe District); Jiumei Noodles Store (Jiaotong Rd., Qinghe District); Zhou Mo Pai Noodles Store (Zhongjing Rd., Qinghe District).

Typical stores: Matou Zhonglin Restaurant (Matou Town, Huaiyin District); Qingzhen Beef Soup Store (West Side Lane beside Ba’er Hospital, Qinghe District); Qingzhen Beef and Mutton Soups (Food Street, Big Water Gate, Qinghe District); Xiaohua Beef Soup Store (West side at the end of Chengde Rd. Bridge, Qingpu District).
7. Crystal Dumpling
Typical stores: Zhuji Beef Dumpling Store (Xinmin West Road, Qingpu District); Wu Chunfang Snack Store, formerly known as Dazhakou Beef Dumpling Store (In the west lane at the southern end of Chengde Rd. Typical stores: Shiji Crayfish Restaurant, No.6-14, 3rd Phase of Yixing Mingliu Residential District, Junying Road, Qinghe District; Huangguan Restaurant, West Avenue, Qingpu District; Jinshiyuan Hotel, Fenghuang Xincun Residential Area, Qinghe District.
The “Ten renowned restaurants of classic Huaiyang Dishes” and typical stores of “Ten favorite Huai’an snacks” are expected to guard against arrogance and rashness, make persistent efforts, further carry forward achievements, enhance inheritance, creation and development of Huaiyang Dishes, and make new contributions to carrying forward food cultural of Huaiyang Dishes and promoting development of Huai’an restaurant industry.
