On August 26, the Huai'an Municipal Government held a press conference themed "Launching Charity Donation Activities to Foster a Strong Atmosphere of 'Supreme Good Across Huai'an'". The 2024 "Jiangsu Charity Week" online fundraising event, along with the "Love in Huai'an One-Day Charity Donation" drive, is about to kick off in Huai'an. This year's online fundraising activities primarily feature the Jiangsu Charity Special Session, the "Love in Huai'an One-Day Charity Donation", and Tencent's "99 Giving Day".

The online fundraising of Jiangsu Charity Special Session is scheduled to take place from August 29 to 31. The Tencent Charity Foundation will donate RMB 20 million to the event. On "Charity Day Of China" on September 5, Huai'an will host a centralized donation event called "Love in Huai'an One-Day Charity Donation", spearheading fundraising activities across the entire city. Tencent's "99 Giving Day" online fundraising event is set to take place from September 5 to 9. The Tencent Charity Foundation will contribute RMB 400 million to this initiative, with RMB 200 million designated for matching public donations and the remaining RMB 200 million provided as incentives to stimulate industry practice. This year, Huai'an continues to seamlessly integrate three key initiatives—the Jiangsu Charity Special Session, the "Love in Huai'an One-Day Charity Donation", and Tencent's "99 Giving Day". By leveraging the convenience and reach of the Internet, the city successfully attracts broader social participation in these fundraising activities.

The donation process for this year's fundraising activity will utilize an online QR code system. The public can contribute through the Tencent Charity Internet platform. The 2024 "Jiangsu Charity Week" online fundraising event in Huai'an has launched over 30 projects. Citizens can search for project names on Tencent Charity's mini program to find the corresponding charity projects or scan the project's QR code via WeChat to access the donation interface. With just a click on the "Donate One Sum" button, the donation process is simple and quick.

The projects initiated this year are closely aligned with critical and challenging issues related to livelihood security, specifically targeting groups facing special difficulties, low-income families, and rural impoverished populations. Based on their actual needs, the projects scientifically establish initiatives in education assistance, rural revitalization, medical aid, disaster relief, nature conservation, and care advocacy. These initiatives include providing living subsidies to underprivileged students, offering medical subsidies to patients with major illnesses, supporting teenagers' mental health, and aiding families without a fixed income who have lost their only child. Through the implementation of donation projects, Huai'an aims to guide all sectors of society to focus on specific social issues and groups facing special hardships. By raising funds, it strives to improve their living conditions and help them overcome their difficulties.
