The Fifth China (Huai'an) International Food Expo and the First Golden Autumn Economic and Trade Fair will be held in Huai'an International Food Expo Center from September 23 to 25. In addition to making friends, this year's exhibition adds a new economic and trade negotiation section to boost industrial development, promote economic and trade exchanges, and lead consumption upgrading. On August 30, Huai'an held a press conference to introduce the main contents of the Fifth Food Expo and the First Golden Autumn Fair.
Based on the general principle of "safety and excellence", the Fifth Food Expo and the First Golden Autumn Fair include three major sections: theme exhibition, economic and trade negotiation, and food carnival. Compared with previous exhibitions, this exhibition explores the new trends and opportunities for industrial development under the new situation, focusing on "three transformations".
More "international": a domestic view on Huai'an is replaced by a global perspective. We will organize the Second Round Table on Food Industry Cooperation among the RCEP Member States and invite representatives of RCEP member states' embassies and consulates in China, chambers of Commerce and Industry, trade promotion agencies, and experts from think tanks to discuss how to deepen investment and trade cooperation. UNESCO will hold the "City of Gastronomy" Urban Gastronomic Innovation and Development Conference in Huai'an, where representatives from Cities of Gastronomy such as Popayan in Colombia, Östersund in Sweden, and Jeonju in South Korea will gather together. Ten national-level catering brand enterprises will appear in the exhibition. Jiangsu-US Food Industry Cooperation and Exchange Conference and Huai'an-Japan cooperation and exchange activities will be held to expand Huai'an's opening to the outside world and show the charm of Huai'an.
More "market-oriented": it changes from promoting business through exhibitions to attracting investment and exhibiting. This year's Food Expo sets up three professional exhibition halls for snack food, prepared vegetables, and catering condiments, the "Three Products" exhibition area for Jiangsu consumer goods, and the exhibition area for the featured theme banquet. Twenty-six of the world top 500 and international top 100 well-known food enterprises will participate in the exhibition, as well as exhibition groups from ten countries and regions such as the Netherlands, Russia, Japan, South Korea, and Macao. The First Golden Autumn Economic and Trade Fair will be held, and entrepreneurs from all over the world will be invited to come to Huai'an. We will arrange a signing ceremony for high-tech projects with a total investment of not less than 80 billion yuan, which are in line with the development direction of Huai'an's leading industries. We will promote the exchanges and cooperation between domestic and foreign well-known prepared vegetable manufacturers and supply chain enterprises. We will also attract prepared vegetable leading enterprises to Huai'an, striving to transform the "City of Gastronomy" as a business card into an industry that enriches Huai'an people.
More "plentiful": a single exhibition is transformed into a multi-level exhibition. This year's exhibition is rich in content and higher in the professional level. More than ten important events of different categories have been arranged, some with the participation of national ministries and commissions and some with the support of provincial departments. There are both theme exhibitions and high-end summits. Activities are organized both for investment investigation and food culture exchanges. Jiangsu New Consumption Season·Golden Autumn Shopping Festival and Huai'an Golden Autumn Shopping Festival will also be launched in the exhibition. More than twenty large and medium-sized business enterprises, such as King's Luck, Kidswant, and Xinya, will launch promotional activities.
The Fifth China (Huai'an) International Food Expo is co-sponsored by the China Chamber of International Commerce and the World Federation of Chinese Catering Industry, and jointly organized by the Convention and Exhibition Department of China Chamber of International Commerce, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Jiangsu Sub-council, and the People's Government of Huai'an. The Expo is the first Food Expo held after Huai'an was awarded the title of "City of Gastronomy". We will continue to promote Huai'an's brand as China Famous City of Food and City of Gastronomy and meticulously organize the "City of Gastronomy" Urban Gastronomic Innovation and Development Conference and the 2022 China Huaiyang Cuisine Master Invitational Tournament. We will continue to spread Huaiyang cuisine culture to the world.
In addition, the Expo will strictly implement the requirements for the regular prevention and control of COVID-19 and draw up a detailed work plan with reference to the practices and experience of major domestic exhibitions. We will implement the epidemic prevention and control measures, including the health monitoring of exhibitors, staff, service support personnel, etc., in the exhibition halls, venues, and reception hotels. We will guide the public to visit the exhibition by making an appointment and staggering the peak to ensure the absolute safety of epidemic prevention and control and all work during the exhibition.
