Winter Solstice Festival
Dec 22nd of lunar calendar is winter solstice, sun shines directly on the Tropic of Capricorn this day, the Northern Hemisphere has shortest daytime and longest nighttime, the ancient people regarded this day as a lucky day, and should be celebrated.
In the old time, people stopped school and work to invite guests, donate gifts, and celebrate festivals. People also offered sacrifice to ancestors, ate red bean porridge.
