Zhu Yuanzhang (1328-1398), founding emperor of Ming Dynasty, was an outstanding statesman and strategist. At the last stage of Yuan Dynasty, he led peasant uprisings to overthrow the domination and founded Ming Dynasty reign titled Hongwu. He was called as Ming Taizu in history, and was the only emperor from the lowly in Chinese history and also the most legendary figure.
